the project
Despite vast natural resources, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) is one of the poorest countries in the world. Extreme poverty, economic crisis, conflict situations, food insecurity, epidemic outbreaks, etc. are all factors that negatively impact the social situation and well-being of Congolese people, especially women and children.
our approach
UNICEF wanted to create an online portal that could display an ongoing series of interactive stories featuring their initiatives in the DRC.
The site needed to fluidly display both in-depth photo reports together with video stories.
We constructed an environment where each story could be contained within a single page scrolling framework allowing for a modular template based approach to the many subjects to be covered.
We support our work through toolbox – a series of digital “magazines” that provide relevant, shareable content that guides and re-inforces our work.
